these are a selection of
commonly asked questions...
No. We will always give you an idea of what time we will call, which we always confirm in writing. We will also confirm the exact time on the morning of our proposed visit, helping you to plan your day better. We understand that there is nothing worse than hanging around all day for someone to call.
Absolutely. Our quotations are fully detailed and itemised, so you can see exactly what you are paying for. We have heard of many cases where customers have not received a written quote or have received a quote with little detail, and this has led to problems and disputes further down the line. This can be very stressful and may well delay the completion of the job.
Yes, once we have determined your requirements, you will be given a start date (typically a week commencing date, with the exact date confirmed a few days before). In certain circumstances, you may need a definite start or completion date, in which case we will accommodate your request, assuming it is reasonable.
No, we will always leave a working toilet. The only time the toilet will be out of use is when we are fitting a new one, in which case you will not be able to use the toilet for a couple of hours only, but you will be given advance notice of this.
Yes. Your water supply will be in full working order for all the time the work is being carried out. The only time there will be no water is when we are connecting water pipes or replacing tanks or cylinders, but this should only be for a few minutes at a time and you will get advance notice.
Yes. We use dust sheets and carpet protector film to minimise any dust or mess and to protect your property. We will also dispose of all your old bathroom equipment and associated rubbish, so you won’t have to worry about visiting the local waste disposal tip.
No, we only use our own directly employed installers, who are fully trained to install our bathrooms. We believe that this allows us to have full control over the program of works and quality of the finished job, because the installers take instruction and work directly for us. And because they are not self-employed, they won’t keep nipping off to finish other jobs, as so often happens.
Not necessarily. All our installers are CRB (criminal records bureau) checked, which should give you peace of mind. In over 45 years we have not had any reports of any issues where our installer has been left in the house alone. Our experience tells us that after working in your home for a few days, our installers almost become part of the family.
In most cases, and depending on the size of the job, one or two installers will carry out the work. In all but extreme circumstances we will have someone on site for a full day every day until the works are completed, ensuring that your new bathroom is completed as soon as practically possible.
Every job is different, but we understand that having any work done in your home for any length of time can be stressful, so we aim to complete the job as quickly as practical. We don’t rush because we don’t want to compromise our quality or cut corners, but we will stay on the job every day until it is complete.
Yes. All of the equipment we supply is guaranteed in accordance with the manufacturer’s own guarantee, which is typically a minimum of 12 months (although extended guarantees are sometime available). We also guarantee our workmanship for 12 months, although we take a view that any problems arising outside of this period will be looked into, and should it be found there is a workmanship issue, the problem may be resolved. We also offer insurance backed guarantee’s and warranties for a small premium.
It is not our policy in many cases to take deposits or stage payments. Please let me repeat this - It is not our policy in many cases to take deposits or stage payments. We operate in the old fashioned way, with the agreement that you trust us to do a good job and we will trust you to pay when the works are completed. After the works are finished, you will receive an invoice and get 14 days in which to pay (we accept payment by credit cards).
Our offices are fully staffed during normal working hours, so there will always be someone on hand to help you. And as we employ more than 30 installers, we can always guarantee someone will attend the same day to help resolve any on site problem.
