Bathroom Design Stage Explained

Visiting you at home to carry out a detailed design appointment

Your project begins with a free, no-obligation design appointment in your own home. This allows us to see your space properly, where we can take measurements, discuss layout options and fully understand how your bathroom is used.

Prepare a detailed, transparent quote and CAD visuals

If you’re happy with everything discussed at your design appointment and are considering proceeding, we’ll invite you to one of our bathroom showrooms. Here, we’ll present a detailed quotation along with CAD visuals, allowing you to clearly see how your finished bathroom will look and understand exactly what’s included.

Offer advice on all products and fixture choices

Your showroom appointment is focused on finalising product and fixture choices. You’ll have time to explore the wide range of options available, from statement features through to the finishing touches.

Your designer will be on hand to offer advice and guidance where needed, helping you balance style, practicality and budget. Once everything has been agreed, we’ll provide an exact cost for the works, including installation.

Should you decide to proceed, a 25% deposit is required on all bathroom orders.

Bathroom Ordering and Supply Stage Explained

Scheduling your project with our installation team

Once your order is placed, your project is scheduled with our installation team so you can plan ahead with confidence.

Carrying out an installation survey to confirm the final specification

Before any products are ordered, we carry out a detailed installation survey. This final check confirms measurements, technical requirements and specifications, helping to avoid issues during installation.

Ordering and securely storing all materials ready for installation

Following the installation survey, we’re able to provide a week commencing start date and order all products and materials required for your bathroom. Everything is checked, scheduled and coordinated to ensure smooth delivery for the start of your installation.

Bathroom Installation Stage Explained

We will be in touch no later than the Friday before your week-commencing start date to confirm your exact start day. Unless otherwise specified, your fitter will arrive between 7:30am and 9:30am.

Time is taken at the start of each day to sheet up and protect carpets, flooring and access routes before work begins. Your existing bathroom is carefully stripped out and waste removed responsibly as the project progresses.

First fix, waterproofing and preparation

Once the space is prepared, first-fix plumbing and electrics are carried out. Pipework, waste and electrical points are repositioned to suit the new layout and checked for compliance.

Interim payment during installation

Halfway through your project, a 65% interim payment is required. This is payable by cheque, BACS or direct card payment.

Tiling, second fix and finishing

Walls and floors are prepared in line with the agreed design, with care taken over alignment and finishing details. Second-fix installation then takes place, including baths, showers, toilets, basins, furniture, brassware and accessories

Keep you in the loop every step of the way

You will have a lead fitter who carries out all aspects of your bathroom renovation and remains your day-to-day point of contact throughout. Should any unforeseen issues arise, these will always be discussed with you before any action is taken.

Tidy up at the end of each day

We aim to keep disruption to a minimum wherever possible. Your fitter will tidy up at the end of each working day, and we will never leave you without a working toilet.

Final checks, handover and aftercare

As the installation nears completion, final checks are carried out and any snags addressed. The bathroom is cleaned and prepared for handover, and everything is demonstrated to you.

When your job is practically complete, your final invoice for the remaining 10% will be raised. This is payable by cheque, BACS or direct card payment.

We offer a 3-year insurance-backed installation guarantee on all workmanship within the retail market for products specified and sold on or after 1 January 2023. This is further supported by manufacturers’ warranties on products supplied.
