Mr & Mrs Cartwright, Bramhope, Leeds, West Yorkshire - a master-piece in the world of bathroom renovations

29 January 2016

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Cartwright had a dated 3 piece bathroom suite consisting of a bath with shower mixer, back to wall WC and wall hung basin. The bathroom was one of two main house bathrooms situated on the second floor in the home. As a result the couple wanted to consider the extent of internal building work it would take to turn the main bathroom into an en-suite bathroom, inclusive of shower, for the main bedroom.

Solution:

More Bathrooms self-proclaimed design guru (and surveyor) Paul Tarbard had free reign with regards to helping turn Mr & Mrs Cartwright’s dreams into reality. Carefully considering his options Paul proposed closing off the door into the suite from the landing and also taking some room off the adjoining bedroom to allow for a square, even space, to house a separate wet floor shower unit, turning the existing 3 piece suite into 4. The rest of the suite was to be simply ripped out and refit with the latest luxury bathroom fixtures including a wall spanning and fully tiled bath unit, staggered vanity basin unit and a back-to-wall enclosed cistern WC. A new entrance was also created from the main bedroom into the new en-suite with a new entrance provided to the second bedroom also.

Outcome:

The finished 4 piece suite could only be described as a master-piece in the world of bathroom renovations. It was sophisticatedly elegant and luxuriously graceful with the incorporation of the latest bath & shower room designs and trends. The room was completely transformed from dark and dated to open, light and airy helped along following careful consideration of the colouring of floor & wall tiles, the use of glass & mirrors and gleamingly white fixtures. The lighting for the room was completely ripped out and replaced with the latest in spotlight LED technology in the roof as well as along the bath panel at floor level. In all the room underwent a breath-taking transformation that would leave even the toughest of grand design judges gasping for air.
