Mr & Mrs Crawford, Wetherby, Leeds - a dream walk-in shower room conversion

23 September 2015

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Crawford had a very dated 3 piece over bath shower suite with tiles dating back to the 80’s. The colour scheme of the suite was a beige / brown which was typical of this era. Mr & Mrs Crawford wanted to simple renovate and refurbish their bathroom, bringing it into the 21st century with a complete rip out and refit.

Solution:

More Bathrooms surveyor and designer, Paul Tarbard, spoke at lengths with the couple in order to try and determine the best way forward in terms of meeting their aims of the home improvement project. Aside from ascertaining that a modern come luxury renovation was a must Paul was keen to understand what fixtures and fittings would work best for them and their home.

It was decided that a grand 1700 walk-in shower room conversion was the dream solution, which would replace the existing bath. Minimal storage was required however a vanity basin unit with double cupboards would be beneficial. The couple choose an ultra-modern back-to-wall close coupled toilet finished with a striking illuminated mirror, full wall tiles with one statement feature patterned wall and light oak wooden flooring.

The location of the toilet, basin and mirror were also moved to fit alongside the statement wall really giving the room a ‘wow’ factor whilst opening up the space available to them.

Outcome:

A relatively good sized dark and dated bathroom was converted into an ultra-modern, open, airy and light walk-in shower room. The change in colour scheme, relocation of key fixtures and striking patterned statement wall doubled the size of the room whilst giving it a modern and luxury feel that would remain on trend for years to come.
