mr & mrs firth, rothwell, leeds, west yorkshire - an inspirationally designed wet floor shower solution

29 October 2015

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Firth had a very dated, 60’s retro style jade green bathroom that was in need of refurbishing. The fixtures themselves were still in great condition – as we often here ‘it’s how things were made back then’ however the style and design needed some care and attention.

Furthermore the couple appreciated that given their previous bathroom had stood the test of time with regards to durability it was highly anticipated that this could well be one of the last times they rip an existing suite out to refurbish and refit with a new one so future proofing was high on the agenda.

Solution:

More Bathrooms, More Ability & Passmore Group surveyor, Paul ‘design guru’ Tarbard spoke at lengths with the couple to ascertain exactly what they wanted to achieve within their new suite. A modern, luxury and aspirational design was high on the priority list however they were also conscious that they were ‘getting older’ and wanted to be mindful when it came to the fixtures they choose with regards to it being adequate for years to come.

Paul worked with the couple to present an inspirationally designed, fully tiled, wet floor shower solution – which looked 5* luxury but also came with the added benefits of being easy to use. The new luxury suite was also a firm favourite as it could easily be further adapted should the couple need it with additional installation of a shower seat or bench and chrome grab rails, which would not affect the look and feel.

Outcome:

Mr & Mrs Firth were astounded with the transformation of their bathroom. A once, retro, bathroom was now an aspirational wet floor shower room conversion inclusive of glass flipper screen. The new suite was brought to life with fully floor to wall, ditto grey tiles, a matte black wall hung radiator, large wall hung basin and a back to wall soft close toilet. The couple were absolutely thrilled with the end result and regretted ever waiting so long to give their new favourite room in the home a makeover.

what mr & mrs firth said about more bathrooms:

“May we say that we are delighted with the work carried out, and it has been a pleasure dealing with your company. Sam, who fitted the wet room, was superb and very understanding and any little hiccups he sorted immediately. Many thanks for the thank you chocolates it was a lovely and unexpected gesture.”
