Mr & Mrs Howard, Shadwell, Leeds, West Yorkshire - a dated bathroom was transformed into a warm & welcoming multi-functional space

12 February 2016

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Howard had a traditionally white, dated, 4 piece matching suite consisting a bath with oak wooden side panel & over shower mixer, shell pattern pedestal basin & matching WC with soft closed oak seat and a separate bidet. Finishing touches including, towel rails, bath handles, taps and mixers were an off bronze / gold colour which complimented the hints of wood and sage / olive colour scheme which was the height of fashion in the 80’s.

Aside from needing some tender loving care to modernise the suite there was no ‘problem’ as such – unfortunately the suite and decorative setting had just run its course and required a design update.

Solution:

More Bathrooms surveyor and designer Paul Tarbard took all the couples comments on board and as such was able to present them with a modern day bathroom transformation they would love. The entire suite was completely revamped to include the latest modern must haves comprising of a bath with chrome over shower mixer and glass screen, back-to-wall soft closed couple WC, large vanity basin unit, chrome wall radiator and glass fronted storage unit.

Outcome:

The finished suite was a real statement room in the home further accentuated by the floor to wall ditto grey tiling which really created a sense of modern luxury. A large dated bathroom was transformed into a warm and welcoming multi-functional space which due to careful sanitary ware selection meant that the new room would last as long, if not longer, than its earlier counterpart meaning the couple could enjoy for many years (or decades) to come.
