Mr & Mrs Myers, Beeston, Leeds, West Yorkshire - a 4 piece bathroom renovation with a difference

21 January 2016

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Myers had a small 2 piece bathroom consisting of a bath and basin unit and an external, adjoining, WC. Due to the structure of both rooms they were left with minimal space to use either of the amenities which, due to their children flying the nest a number of years previous, no longer required the rooms to be separate in the home.

Solution:

More Bathrooms Surveyor & Designer Nigel Dawson discussed all possible solutions with the couple with respect given to their personal wants and needs. Paramount to the project was making the most of the available space and where possible an incorporation of a shower fixture; whether separate unit or in the form of a bath / shower mixer.

Given the layout and square footage, Nigel proposed that the only solution to being able to incorporate a separate shower unit was to knock through the adjoining walls, turning 2 rooms into 1. Hesitant at first due to foreseen disruption to their home Mr & Mrs Myers soon saw the benefits to carrying out the works which certainly outweighed any doubts or concerns.

Outcome:

The minor internal building works totally transformed the bathroom renovation beyond even our own beliefs. The space that was created as a result of knocking through the internal walls was quite remarkable and as a result Mr & Mrs Myers were able to incorporate all their wants, needs, dreams and desires into the refurbishments. The house bathroom now consisted of a bath, separate (& large) shower enclosure, square pedestal basin unit and square back-to-wall WC. The couple were so pleased with the works that they feared their children may wish to return to the martial home to enjoy the new facilities!

what mr & mrs myers said about more bathrooms:

“Just to let you know the bathroom at the above address was completed by Chris yesterday and I’m absolutely delighted with it. Chris has work very hard since he started the job and I’ve been completely satisfied with all the additional work completed as well (boiler & damp re-medical work). I was also very impressed by how clean and tidy everything was left.”
