Mrs Steel, Bramley, Leeds, West Yorkshire - a larger than average 'SPECTACULAR' low level shower enclosure

20 October 2015

Problem:

Mrs Steel was an older lady who had recently started to struggle getting in and out of the bath. Fit and healthy none the less, Mrs Steel, like all of us will come to experience, had started to appreciate the upper body strength required to heave yourself out of a bath full of water – something too many of us take for granted during younger years.

Solution:

Nigel Dawson, More Bathrooms & Passmore's bathroom surveyor & designer spoke at lengths with Mrs Steel to really understand her aspirational wants as well as her rational needs. Although the main priority was to solve the problem of not being able to get in and out of the bath it also became clear the need for the solution to look atheistically pleasing was also high, if not as high, on the agenda.

Nigel & Mrs Steel decided the best way forward was an easy access, stylish, shower solution in the form of a larger than average low level shower enclosure that could be further adapted in time if required. The removal of the bath and introduction of the shower enclosure, coupled with a new sanitary ware layout, would also give Mrs Steel great room for manoeuvre which she didn’t have the luxury of prior to the refurbishment – something again that would come into its own as time progresses.

Outcome:

A small and confined 3 piece bathroom suite was transformed into a spacious 3 piece, low level, and fully tiled shower room. The new layout really helped to open up the small room, making it a manageable, open and airy. The layout and fixtures chosen by Mrs Steel with Nigel’s guidance were handpicked with the future in mind. A perfectly, easy to use aspirational shower room now could, with minimal effort, become a further adapted safe and practical shower room solution should, could and would it be required.

what mrs steel said about more bathrooms:

“As my friends, family and neighbours have said ‘SPECTACULAR’.”
