Background
The homeowner contacted More Bathrooms after visiting our Harrogate showroom, to discuss a complete bathroom renovation at their home, with the aim of replacing their existing bath with a spacious walk-in shower.
Looking to refresh the entire room, they wanted a shower room that felt brighter, more modern and easier to use every day. Creating a light, open feel was a key priority, alongside incorporating contemporary finishes that would stand the test of time.
After discussing their ideas with Senior Designer Angela, the project focused on transforming the existing layout into a stylish walk-in shower room that balanced practicality with elegant, modern design.
Bathroom Design
Senior Designer Angela developed a contemporary design centered around openness, simplicity and practicality. Every element was carefully selected to maximise the available space while creating a calm, light-filled room with a luxurious feel.
The focal point of the room is the spacious walk-in shower, complete with a rainfall shower head and sleek glass screen. Replacing the original bath immediately opened the room, creating a far more spacious layout while making everyday showering easier and more enjoyable.
A striking floating vanity unit with a contemporary countertop basin introduces a clean, minimalist appearance, while also increasing the visible floor space to enhance the feeling of openness throughout the room.
An illuminated circular LED mirror provides both practical task lighting and a soft ambient glow, complementing the neutral colour palette and helping to brighten the space further.
Large-format wall tiles were selected to create a seamless, contemporary finish, reducing grout lines while adding to the spacious appearance. Wood-effect flooring introduces texture and warmth, balancing the lighter finishes beautifully.
The completed project delivers a modern walk-in shower that feels bright, spacious and perfectly suited to everyday living.
Installation
Following the design stage, the project moved seamlessly into installation.
