Background & Brief

Looking to create a more modern and practical space, our clients wanted to replace their existing bathroom with a contemporary walk-in shower room that would offer greater comfort and convenience while maintaining a stylish, homely feel.

Having already experienced our fully project managed design and installation service, our clients were confident in choosing More Bathrooms for their next home improvement project, also benefiting from our returning customer loyalty discount.

Working closely with Senior Designer Julie, the brief was to create a bright, welcoming bathroom that combined modern fixtures, practical features and carefully considered brassware, ensuring the space would remain both comfortable and enjoyable to use for years to come.

Design

With a focus on futureproofing, Julie developed a carefully considered walk-in shower room design that maximised the available space while combining contemporary styling with practical features, creating a bathroom that would remain comfortable, functional and enjoyable to use for years to come.

Modern walk-in shower bathroom featuring marble-effect wall panels, a wood-effect floor, wall-hung toilet, neutral heated towel rail and natural greenery.

The centrepiece of the design was a spacious walk-in shower, featuring a low-profile white shower tray and a large clear glass screen. This helped establish a more open layout, allowing natural light to flow throughout the room and creating a greater sense of space.

A modern wall-mounted shower system was selected, complemented by a discreet shower seat to provide additional comfort and flexibility.

To balance practicality with appearance, Julie incorporated a wall-hung vanity unit in a warm wood-effect finish, complete with integrated storage, a contemporary white basin and a chrome mixer tap. The floating design keeps the floor area visible, contributing to the room's spacious feel.

A sleek wall-hung WC with concealed cistern was also included, helping maintain the bathroom's streamlined appearance.

Every element of the design was carefully considered to ensure the finished bathroom felt modern and uncluttered, while still retaining the warmth and character of a welcoming home.

Installation

Once the design was finalised, Bathroom Installation Surveyor Joe carried out a detailed survey of the existing space, ensuring all measurements and technical requirements were considered ahead of installation.

The project was then handed over to Lead Fitter Louis, who was responsible for bringing Julie's design to life.

As part of the complete bathroom renovation, the installation involved fitting the new walk-in shower, wall-hung vanity unit, contemporary comfort height WC, shower wall panels, flooring and finishing touches.

Throughout the project, Louis worked meticulously to ensure every detail was completed to a high standard, from the positioning of the sanitary ware to the finishing touches that bring the entire room together.

With the renovation fully managed by More Bathrooms, our returning clients were kept informed throughout the installation, providing reassurance and a smooth experience from beginning to end.

Finishes & Features

A soft, neutral colour palette was chosen to complement the contemporary bathroom design, creating a bright and calming environment with a welcoming, homely feel.

Light marble-effect shower wall boards introduced subtle texture and elegance, providing a stylish backdrop to the walk-in shower while offering a practical, easy-to-maintain finish.

The marble-effect panels continue around the lower sections of the bathroom walls, creating a cohesive design and helping the different areas of the room flow naturally together.

To introduce warmth, natural wood-effect flooring was paired with a coordinating wall-hung vanity unit. The combination of soft wood tones and light marble finishes creates an inviting contrast, preventing the bathroom from feeling overly clinical.

A contemporary ladder-style heated towel rail in a complementary neutral finish provides additional comfort, while chrome taps and shower fittings add a subtle modern touch.

The large windows allow natural light to fill the room, enhancing the soft finishes and creating a bright, airy atmosphere.

Together, these carefully selected materials and features give the bathroom a timeless appearance, combining contemporary styling with everyday practicality.

The Result

The completed bathroom renovation has transformed the space into a bright, modern and beautifully finished walk-in shower room.

By introducing a spacious shower enclosure, contemporary wall-hung fixtures and carefully considered storage, Julie's design has made excellent use of the available space while creating a comfortable and welcoming environment.

The combination of marble-effect wall boards, warm wood-effect finishes and modern bathroom accessories gives the room a fresh, contemporary appearance, while the open shower design helps create a greater sense of space.

The completed project strikes the perfect balance between style and practicality, offering our clients a space that not only looks beautiful but is also designed to suit their everyday needs.
