Wet Room Case Study | Cleckheaton | West Yorkshire

Published: 20 February 2017

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Liddemore had a traditionally styled Dorchester heritage corner bathroom suite which could be easily identified given the rope detailing on the main fixture and fittings. The champagne coloured matching set comprised of a space saving bath, pedestal basin and closed couple WC with landscape cistern and featured half height tiling with classic boarder to the walls. Although in great working order the mid-late 80’s suite was becoming increasingly tired in design and use prompting the couple to enquiry with regards to modernising their main house bathroom through a detailed and well executed refurbishment project.

Solution:

With absolutely no pre-notions or ideas with regards to what style, design and even fixture choices they wanted to incorporate in the refurbishment project it was up to More Bathrooms Survey & Designer, Garry, to inspire and educate in all possible outcomes and variations.

Listening carefully to the couples wants, needs and personal preferences Garry was able to paint a picture of what he believed Mr & Mrs Liddemore would like to incorporate into their bathroom, right down to colour choices. Presenting them with two 3D visuals to choose from, Garry proposed a refurbishment which would feature both a separate bath and shower fixture and one which would convert the traditional bathroom into a modern wet floor shower room.

Outcome:

Following a separate discussion over the pros and cons of each design, Mr & Mrs Liddemore decided that the modern wet floor shower conversion was the dream refurbishment for them. Primarily due to the benefits of enhancing the available space the fully tiled, minimalistic black and white design, oozed modern sophistication thanks to the careful selection of product which included a semi-recessed wall hung WC, black storage cabinet with matching vanity basin unit and of course the bespoke built wet floor shower with glass screen.

what mr & mrs liddemore said about more bathrooms:

Our new bathroom is just perfect and we cannot recommend More Bathrooms & Passmore’s more highly.

We'd had major issue with a company who did our last bathroom so as you can imagine we were wary when choosing a company to do this one, we needn't of been at all everything ran smoothly from measuring up to the fitting. I'd like to give a special thank you to Gary our designer (I wasn't an easy customer I know, changing my mind so many times) and a massive thank you to Joe our fitter he was amazing from start to finish.”
