Problem

A bathroom in Leeds belonging to Mr. and Mrs. Gaunt needed a complete refresh. The existing concept consisted of a bath with an overhead shower, a basin, and a WC. The couple desired to refurbish their design and wanted to explore their options.

Solution

The couple were aware of Passmore Group and our multiple brands having had their bathroom refurbished by our More Bathrooms brand over 10 years prior.

Mr. and Mrs. Gaunt visited our Mirfield Bathroom Showroom, and after a brief conversation with our Showroom Sales Admin Dawn, booked a free design appointment.

Our experienced designer Julie visited the couple at their home. The three of them would have an in-depth conversation about the existing concept, and explore potential ideas with a view to agreeing a new bathroom design.

Before the conversation, Julie went around the existing bathroom and took measurements.

Mr. and Mrs. Gaunt and Julie then sat down, to have a detailed conversation about the new design and what they wanted to achieve. Mr. and Mrs. Gaunt explained to Julie that amongst a refurbishment, they were looking for a more practical concept, that was easy to clean and look to include extra bathroom storage. Those ideas concluded them to think that a shower room design was the way to progress the project forward.

Aside from their ideas, they were open for Julie to also present suggestions given her illustrious experience in bathroom design.

Julie suggested having fit a walk-in shower, with a low-level tray. Her reasoning behind the proposed design was that the couple wanted a more practical design that would also include the extra storage they desired. A walk-in shower would be the best route to go down in and would tick all their boxes.

Considering the limited bathroom space, Julie also suggested a few more bathroom design features that would help make the bathroom feel bigger.

The couple had mentioned that they wanted extra bathroom storage and Julie proposed a run of fitted furniture to house the back-to-wall pan with a built-in cistern and basin.

With agreement across the trio, Julie was able to provide the couple with a provisional quote for the proposed project. She also invited them to our stunning Harrogate bathroom showroom, where she would present the couple with CAD visuals of how the proposed new shower room would look.

Julie behind the design: - 'Considering all the information and ideas that the couple relayed to me, we were able to create a stunning, spacious, practical shower room design with a contrasting grey colour concept and a host of modern features.'

At the second appointment, Mr. and Mrs. Gaunt were presented with CAD visuals of the shower room at different angles. Happy with how the images were looking Julie then guided them around the showroom to choose their final bathroom finishing touches and when they had chosen they placed an order with us.

Installation

Prior to the bathroom installation, the couple were introduced to our installation’s surveyor Joe, who would liaise with the fitter Zbi to ensure the project ran smoothly.

Our multi-skilled fitter Zbi ripped out the existing bathroom and transformed the space into a Modern beautiful walk-in shower room.

Zbi stripped out the bath and replaced the space with a beautiful walk-in shower, making the entrance to the stylish shower room feel more spacious. Inside the new walk-in shower, a bespoke grey Corian bench was fit providing the couple with a seat to relax and rejuvenate.

Enhancing the grey bathroom concept while adding to the aesthetic of the new bathroom, wavy wallboards were fit, making it much easier to clean and maintain.

To finish off the modern walk-in shower room, a glass flipper screen was fit helping to keep the water maintained in one area.

Just outside of the shower installation and concealing all the pipework, a run of fitted furniture was built, which housed the basin and comfort height WC. The lengthy furniture also provided the couple with extra bathroom storage, to store their toiletries and other bathroom equipment.

Concluding the new shower room design stunning grey laminate flooring was fit throughout the bathroom, with a complimentary dark charcoal grey tall wall-hung radiator installed opposite to the run of furniture.
