Background

Discovering More Bathrooms online, the homeowners visited our Leeds showroom, where they met Sales Consultant Tom to discuss their plans for a complete en-suite bathroom refurbishment.

During their showroom visit, they explored a range of bathroom displays and were particularly inspired by one of our contemporary en-suite designs. While they arrived with a clear vision for creating a modern, open and spacious bathroom, they remained open-minded about colours and finishes, looking to our design team for guidance and ideas.

Their wish list included a generous shower enclosure with sliding doors, a new WC and basin, large floor tiles, medium-format wall tiles and a layout that would maximise the available space while creating a clean, uncluttered finish.

Above all, they wanted a contemporary en-suite that felt light, practical and built around everyday living.

Bathroom Design

Senior Designer Garry worked closely with the homeowners to create a contemporary en-suite design that would make the room feel noticeably larger while delivering the clean, minimalist aesthetic they were hoping to achieve.

The layout centered around a spacious shower enclosure with sleek black framed sliding doors, creating a generous showering area without compromising valuable floor space. The sliding door design also helps maintain an open flow throughout the room, making it an ideal solution for a modernen-suite bathroom.

One of the standout features was the floating vanity unit with countertop basin and wall-mounted basin taps. Suspending the furniture above the floor creates a greater sense of openness, while also making the room easier to clean and maintain. The recessed wall niche behind the basin introduced practical everyday storage without adding visual clutter, allowing toiletries and accessories to be kept neatly within easy reach.

Large-format grey wall tiles were selected throughout the room to create a seamless contemporary finish, while lighter floor tiles provide contrast and help reflect natural light around the space. Keeping grout lines to a minimum enhances the clean aesthetic and contributes to a bathroom that feels larger, calmer and easier to maintain.

The matte black brassware and accessories bring a bold, modern contrast throughout the design, from the rainfall shower and wall-mounted taps through to the heated towel rail and shower enclosure, tying every element together to create a sophisticated, cohesive finish.

Installation

Following the design stage, the project moved seamlessly from design right through to installation.

The en-suite bathroom was installed by Lead Fitter Shaun, whose attention to detail ensured every stage of the refurbishment was completed to the highest standard. From precise tiling and plumbing through to fitting the floating vanity unit and shower enclosure, each element was installed with care to bring Garry's design to life.

Throughout the project, Installation Surveyor Joe worked closely with the installation team to ensure everything progressed smoothly from start to finish. Careful planning and project management meant the homeowners could enjoy a straightforward renovation experience while every detail was completed to the high standards expected of a More Bathrooms installation
