Small Bathroom Case Study | Wakefield | West Yorkshire

Published: 5 June 2015

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Rea had a very small and compact bathroom that due to previous designs was made to feel even more claustrophobic. There was simply far too much going on and the darks tiles only made the room appear more drawn in. The room was small and the multi-functional suite made it feel smaller however it was requested from the very early stages that Mr & Mrs Rea wanted to keep the options of both a bath and shower – we had our design work cut out for us on this project!

Solution:

Concentrating firmly on Mr & Mrs Rea’s request’s More Bathrooms surveyor & designer, Paul Liddle, began working on the couples compact retreat. Previously the bathroom achieved a multi-functional space separating the bath and single shower enclosure. Paul proposed combining these two elements resulting in an over bath shower completely transforming the room. With the added space a P shaped bath was proposed giving more surface area to the shower section of the unit. Paul suggested that in order to finish the design to incorporate a vanity unit which would house the basin, back to wall toilet pan and of course the all-important storage that would keep the room clutter free.

Outcome:

A small and compact delight – the new multi-functional suite was both accommodating to the couples needs and an absolute treat on the eye. The use of light colours and bath / shower combo really opened up the space making it appear spacious and airy yet warm and inviting – Mr & Mrs Rea were overjoyed with the transformation expressing their delight for both the finished job and service received.

what mr & mrs rea said about more bathrooms:
