Background
Ms Hannah, first contacted the team through the Book an Appointment section on the More Bathrooms website, arranging a free design consultation to discuss updating her existing bathroom.
The room was the property’s original bathroom, over 30 years old, and while still functional, it no longer met the needs of modern family home. Storage was limited, the fixtures felt dated and the space lacked the fresh, bright feel Ms Hannah wanted to achieve.
She was wanting a modern family bathroom that would improve practicality while creating a lighter, more contemporary space, it was essential the room feature a bath with overhead shower, alongside improved storage and a new radiator.
With these priorities in mind, the project focused on delivering a fully fitted bathroom that balanced practicality, style and everyday usability.
Bathroom Design
Senior Designer Angela worked closely with Ms Hannah to develop a layout that would maximise the available space while introducing a more modern look and feel.
The design centres around a bath with overhead shower, offering the flexibility of both bathing and showering within the same footprint, ideal for a family bathroom.
The design incorporates a plentiful run of fitted furniture, housing the WC and basin while offering a recessed shelf within the bath area for everyday toiletries.
Large format wall tiles were selected to create a clean, contemporary finish, helping the room feel brighter and more spacious while reducing grout lines for easier maintenance.
Warm wood-effect finishes were introduced through the furniture and flooring, adding contrast and softness to the lighter wall tiles while creating a calm and welcoming environment.
The final design delivers a modern family bathroom that feels organised, light and practical for daily use.
The project also included replacing the existing radiator with a modern heated towel rail, improving both functionality and comfort.
Attention was given to ensuring all finishes aligned neatly throughout the space, from tiling transitions to cabinetry detailing, helping the room feel cohesive and well resolved.
Installation
Following the design stage, the project moved seamlessly into installation.
The bathroom was installed by main fitter Shain, who managed the works on site and ensured each stage of the project was completed with precision and attention to detail. Just two of the many reasons our customers choose us.
From plumbing and tiling through to cabinetry installation and finishing touches, the work was carried out carefully to ensure the final space reflected Angelas design. As with all More Bathrooms installations, careful planning ensured the project progressed efficiently while maintaining a high-quality finish across every element of the room.

From the early planning stages through to the final details, Joe helped coordinate each step of the process, making sure the design translated seamlessly into the completed bathroom and that everything remained on track for Ms Hannah.
Project Outcome
The finished result is a bright, modern family bathroom that feels both practical and welcoming.
The run of fitted furniture also conceals all pipework offering a seamless, flush finish that is easy to maintain - essential for busy family homes.
The lighter finishes help open up the space, replacing the outdated feel of the original bathroom with a design that feels fresh, calm and easy to live with.
What was once a 30-year-old bathroom has now been transformed into a modern fitted bathroom, designed around Ms Hannah’s family and their needs and built to stand the test of time.
