Small Bathroom Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire
Published: 19 February 2016
Problem:
Mr & Mrs Thorpe had a small 3 piece bathroom suite consisting of a WC, pedestal basin and P shaped bath with over shower mixer enclosed with a curved screen. The room was fully tiled using a variety of sized tiles of a black, white and dark grey / blue colouring making the room feel more enclosed & smaller than it was.
The room itself was in great condition and not overly outdated however what led the couple to our door was a recent relocation into the property and a feeling of wanting to make their bathroom their own with their own personal touch which was the problem which we sought to solve.
Solution:
More Bathrooms surveyor & designer, Andy Keir, worked with the couple to discover what their personal wants, needs, desires and design preferences were in order to create their very own dream bathroom.
Due to the size of the room nothing could be done in terms of fixture relocation to make the room appear any bigger or make it more manageable. However Andy soon discovered being able to have a bath was a priority for the couple and therefore a simple update, rip out and refit with modern fittings was the design criteria for this specific renovation project.
Outcome:
Minimalistically modern the finished bathroom was a real clean and fresh space. Completely stripped back to basics the whole room was renovated to incorporate a new back-to-wall WC, large oval pedestal basin and bath. Andy also insisted on installing a large illuminated mirror to really open up the room and create some additional space with design trickery, a large wall hung chrome towel radiator and finished the room off in a textured off grey tile which encompassed the entire room – making their new home their own the couple were thrilled with the refurbishment works.
what mr & mrs thorpe said about more bathrooms:
“Excellent from Start to finish, Andy Keir and Andy Dennison were very pleasant and helpful.”
