Wet Room Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire

Published: 7 December 2016

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Roper had a dated bathroom which looked young for its years due to its clean and tidy appearance and a number of minor DIY additions which had been implemented over the years. Consisting of a large corner bath, large vanity unit with over mounted basin and low rise WC the bathroom was finished with touches of mahogany which was a very popular décor in the mid 80’s. Although the existing space was in need of some modernisation the main reason for works was due to difficulty in using the existing facilities. In particular the requirement of getting over / in and out of the bath.

Solution:

Following an initial visit to our showroom both Mr & Mrs Roper had become inspired by what they had seen. Not sure before there visit, they had become confident and knowledgeable with regards to which solution would best meet their personal wants, needs and inspirational design ideas.

Having spoken with Garry, More Bathrooms Surveyor and Designer, in depth within our showroom they were reassured they were in the best of hands with regards to making their dream bathroom a reality. Armed with a preferred solution in mind and an idea of how they wanted it to look they left the finer design details to Garry who transformed an idea into a 3D visual that they loved.

Outcome:

Consisting of a full rip out and refit the once delightfully dated bathroom was transformed into an ultra-modern wet floor shower. Perfectly put together the bath to shower room conversion consisted a wet floor, easy access, shower with stylish corian bench, back to wall WC, brand new, sparkling white vanity basin unit and grey contrasting two tone floor (vinyl) and wall (tiled) coverings.

Originally designed with a purpose built half height wall to enclose the shower area, aid additional privacy and provide a solid surface to mount a grab rail, Mr & Mrs Roper decided late in the day to change this setting to incorporate a glass screen to allow for an airy and brighter look and feel (not included in the below 3D visual*).

what mr & mrs roper said about more bathrooms:

"Our dream bathroom - Everyone who has seen our bathroom is totally impressed. The designer and installers worked closely together to exceed our expectations. In our previous bathroom showering was an awkward painful experience, now it is pleasure. Thankyou Gary, Steve and Mick, particularly Steve for understanding my complex needs.”
