Small Bathroom Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire

Published: 21 June 2017

problem:

Mr & Mrs Robinson had a small and awkwardly shaped bathroom due to the alcove caused by the intruding en-suite. Although the existing suite was in relatively good working order it was becoming increasingly tired, as a result of aging design, and required some inspirational modernisation, coupled with clever product selection, in order to bring it up to date with current trends.

solution:

Having accessed the current layout, More Bathrooms Surveyor & Designer Paul, advised the couple that the existing design could not be significantly changed due to the awkward shape of the room.

Slightly deflated having wanted to modernise and make the most of the available space; Paul reassured the couple that they would be able to achieve their dream bathroom however this would be done through the careful selection of space enhancing fixtures and fittings, which of course he would help and advice on.

outcome:

Whereby traditionally a straight swap refurbishment is not something to get overly excited about, Paul used his design and product knowledge to truly transform Mr & Mrs Robinson’s bathroom into a minimalistically modern 3 piece suite.

A complete rip out and refit saw the introduction of a compact WC, modern and minimal wall hung modular basin unit with additional storage and an inset bath with overhead shower whereby the mixer was replaced with a modern thermostatic version. Finishing off the suite Paul suggested half tiling the walls and fully tiling the floor in large and luxurious ditto grey tiles, which due to the lack of grout lines due to size looked fantastic in situ.

what mr & mrs robinson said about more bathrooms:

“Everything was excellent in every way; value for money and support through the process to attitude of the company and the values. Our fitter, Joe, was also superb!”
