Walk-In Shower Room Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire

Published: 14 May 2021

Before:

Mr & Mrs Kaufman’s dated 3 piece bathroom consisted of a bath with built in shower, basin and WC.

No longer using the bath, they hoped to improve their showering experience whilst giving their bathroom a modern design update.

Design solution:

Upon booking a free design appointment online Mr & Mrs Kaufman arranged for a More Bathrooms Senior Designer to visit their home and survey their bathroom.

Visited by Senior Designer Garry Mr & Mrs Kaufman discussed in depth with him shower room design ideas including what would best suit the available space following the removal of their bath. Choosing to go with a walk-in shower room Garry also provided Mr & Mrs Kaufman with a provisional quote dependant to their fixture and fitting choices.

With Mr & Mrs Kaufman happy to go ahead, Garry used his used his extensive bathroom knowledge and expertise to create a spacious walk in shower room design.

Garry then invited Mr & Mrs Kaufman to our Leeds Bathroom Showroom to present a detailed CAD design allowing them to visualise their new shower room. He also assisted Mr & Mrs Kaufman with choosing their final fixtures and fittings.

Walk-in shower Installation:

A spacious walk-in shower with bespoke Corian bench allowing Mr & Mrs Kaufman to rest their legs whilst showering and glass flipper screen was installed by Multi-skilled fitter Sam.

Contemporary bathroom finishing touches consisted of ceramic floor and wall bathroom tiles with a luxurious silver finish.

Creating additional space for Mr & Mrs Kaufman’s toiletries a range of bathroom storage furniture was fitted including an under basin vanity unit with a modern glossy finish, a wall mounted tall storage cabinet making better use of Mr & Mrs Kaufman’s unused wall space and the transformation of the dated airing cupboard into bespoke fitted boiler housing.

Contemporary Bathroom brassware choices included a chrome heated towel rail allowing Mr & Mrs Kaufman to heat their towels whilst they shower and a chrome wavey grab bar to help with any future mobility assistance requirements.

Finishing touches also included installation of LED spotlights and a large illuminated mirror helping to bounce light around the round creating the illusion of a bigger space.

Outcome:

A dated bathroom was transformed into a spacious walk-in shower room with modern fixtures and fittings and savvy storage solutions.

What Mr & Mrs Kaufman said about More Bathrooms:

What can we say, the bathroom has exceeded all our expectations we are delighted with whole installation, which was carried out in an extremely professional and tidy manner by Sam.

I cannot speak too highly of his attitude and helpfulness and pride in his work. He explained everything step by step especially when decisions regarding style of tiling etc. needed to be discussed.

We would have no hesitation in recommending More Bathrooms for any future work required by us or one of our friends. In fact I have already passed your name onto a friend of mine who assures me she will be in touch.
