Easy Access Shower | Leeds | More Bathrooms

Published: 17 August 2022

Problem

Mr & Mrs. Mackay wanted to make a few changes to their bungalow and explore their options for converting an existing workspace, used predominantly for storage, into a bedroom with an en-suite to house an easy access shower solution to future proof their investment while making daily life easier.

Design Solution

The couple initially started their research online, with a view to finding companies that could deliver both technical projects, but also advise on easy-access bathing solutions. Having come across More Bathrooms, they decided to book a free design appointment.

Senior Designer Nigel visited Mr & Mrs. Mackay’s’ home, to discuss their requirements in more detail while surveying the existing space. Initially, the couple had considered installing a shower cubicle design, however, due to limitations of space, Nigel advised that a cubicle concept was not the most viable option.

Open to ideas Nigel started to explore other options with the couple, using his extensive technical background, knowledge of the industry, and having gained a firm understanding of their needs and requirements. Presenting them with a range of options the triad came to an agreement that a walk-in easy access shower was the best-suited solution for them. Delighted with the process so far, Nigel invited Mr. and Mrs. Mackay to our Leeds Bathroom Showroom, where he presented them with a detailed quote, dependent on final choices, and CAD images to help them envision what their new walk-in easy-access shower would look like.

At the presentation, Nigel guided the couple around the showroom and assisted them in choosing their finishing touches while simultaneously updating their detailed quote. Confident that the easy-access shower room solution was safe, stylish, and would make daily life easier for them the couple were happy to proceed with the project and with that confirmed their order with us.

Walk-in Easy Access Shower Room Installation

Mr. and Mrs. Mackay’s walk-in easy-access shower was installed by our multi-skilled fitter Paul. During the installation a wall was built into the new bedroom space to create room for the ensuite as per the CAD designs.

A walk-in accessible easy access shower was installed with a sliding roller screen, along with a tall shower head. Full length wallboards were installed in the shower area, with a half-height design echoed around the rest of the room. Matching the wallboards, beige vinyl flooring was laid across the whole floor to ensure the maximum safety.

Completing the project, a white wall-hung basin and comfort height WC were also installed as part of the walk-in easy access shower design.

Outcome

A beautiful bespoke walk-in easy access shower room solution was built and installed as part of a wider bedroom conversion project.
