Easy Access Bath Renovation | Ilkley | More Bathrooms

Renovation Brief

Mrs. Pinder and her daughter first visited our Harrogate Bathroom Showroom to explore options for modernising their bathroom. While the main priority was to retain the enjoyment of a relaxing bath, the new design also needed to improve ease of use—making the room more comfortable to navigate without compromising on aesthetics.

Their existing space featured cream sanitary ware and a shower-over-bath setup that no longer aligned with their needs. They were keen to avoid a disjointed, part-updated look, and instead sought a cohesive, thoughtfully designed room with elegant yet practical features.

Easy Access Bathroom Design

Senior Designer Simon crafted a scheme that perfectly balanced contemporary style with enhanced accessibility. At the heart of the design was an easy-access bath with an integrated seat—providing a solution that made bathing simpler while still delivering on comfort and visual appeal.

To support both soaking and showering, a pumped thermostatic bath-shower mixer was installed, along with a discreetly placed grab handle that blended into the space without disrupting its clean lines.

To elevate the overall aesthetic and reduce maintenance, York wall boards were fitted across the walls. These grout-free panels offered a fresh, modern finish with the added benefit of easy cleaning. The dated cream suite was replaced with a sleek, white comfort-height WC and a compact, wall-mounted vanity unit with lever taps—combining modern styling with thoughtful day-to-day usability.

For the floor, Quattro Truffle Shore vinyl was chosen to introduce warmth and texture. Its non-slip surface further ensures practicality without compromising on design, completing the room with a natural, cohesive and modern look.

Easy Access Bathroom Installation

Following Simon’s design, Installations Surveyor Joe carried out a detailed technical survey to prepare for installation. Multi-Skilled Fitter Paul then brought the concept to life with precision and professionalism, ensuring the transformation was seamless from start to finish.

This fully project-managed service meant that every stage—from design consultation to completion—was expertly handled, providing peace of mind and exceptional results.

Conclusion

This Ilkley bathroom renovation is a testament to how great design can deliver both form and function. By incorporating easy-to-use features into a stylish, unified scheme, the finished space is not only visually impressive but also tailored to meet the client’s evolving needs—now and into the future.
